Mark has been with Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) since January of 2017and is the Vice President of Customer Solutions and Business Development, managing RMP’s relationships with its commercial, industrial and municipal customers, negotiating contracts with Qualifying Facilities, working with municipalities and companies on meeting their renewables goals, managing the Energy Efficiency and Community Solar programs, and coordinating other aspects of RMP’s commercial business and strategy. Prior to his role at RMP, Mark worked for NextEra Energy Inc. (NEE) in Florida from August 2009 through December 2016. From 2013 to 2016, he was Vice President of Business Management for NextEra Energy Resources’ South Region, managing a team of 12 Business Managers and $5.5 Bn in renewable and gas-fired generation assets in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Georgia. Prior to that, Mark held senior leadership roles in NextEra Energy’s Risk Management group, leading the group as VP from 2011 through 2013, and managing the Credit and Risk Operations functions as Senior Director from 2009 into 2011. Prior to NEE, Mark worked as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in New York from Dec 2005 to Aug 2009, where he led the Commodities and Equities Valuation Review Groups. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mark held various roles at Duke Energy in Salt Lake City and Houston from 1995 through 2004, including management roles in origination, risk management, and finance. Mark has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
