Douglas Hunter is the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS). Mr. Hunter joined UAMPS in December of 1983 and is a 36-year veteran of the electric utility industry. Prior to his appointment as General Manager in 1995, he served as Assistant General Manager and Manager of Municipal Resources of UAMPS.
Mr. Hunter holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. He has served as past Chair of the American Public Power Associations (APPA) Executive Committee and has served on the APPA Board of Directors.
